Meet Michelle
Registered Nurse
Certified Autism Specialist
Michelle brings more than 18 years of nursing experience and a lifelong passion for supporting children, families, and individuals navigating unique developmental and emotional challenges. As a Certified Autism Specialist (CAS), she has completed advanced autism specific training designed to deepen understanding of neurodiversity and improve outcomes for individuals on the autism spectrum.
Throughout her career, Michelle has worked extensively with children and families, developing a compassionate, practical approach that recognizes each person’s strengths while addressing the challenges that can accompany autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, and emotional regulation difficulties.
Michelle is passionate about helping families better understand the connection between physical health, emotional well-being, and nervous system regulation. She believes meaningful progress occurs when individuals feel understood, supported, and empowered rather than judged or defined by a diagnosis.
In addition to her healthcare background, Michelle is a strong advocate for the therapeutic benefits of animals and nature based experiences. She has seen firsthand how connection with animals can foster confidence, emotional regulation, resilience, and healing for children and adults facing trauma, anxiety, or neurodivergence.
At Wild Ember Psychiatry & Therapy, Michelle supports families through education, care coordination, autism informed guidance, and a strengths based approach that helps children thrive while supporting the people who love and care for them.
